Montes Jewelry is a family-owned business started in 2018 by mother-and-son team Rosa Reyes and Armando Montes, according to the company's own story. The shop says Rosa has been in the jewelry business for more than 20 years and credits her prices, honesty and customer care for building her clientele. The family says it is proud to keep the store in Chelsea, a city it loves to call home.

The store carries silver jewelry and gold jewelry in 10k, 14k and 18k, including chains, earrings, rings and pendants, along with Bulova and Citizen watches. Its online shop also lists Cuban link bracelets, diamond chains and letter pendants, kids' earrings, men's and women's rings, and an investments category. It takes custom orders and does repairs, and layaway is available, as noted on its Instagram page. A Chelsea Chamber of Commerce member profile adds that the business buys gold as well.

Armando has also been active in the community. He was one of three volunteer judges at the July 25, 2026 Car Show & Marketplace at Chelsea Square, where more than 25 vehicles competed for awards. The event, part of the Summer at the Square series, gave local vendors, businesses and nonprofits a chance to connect with residents.

The owners say they are devoted to giving every customer the best shopping experience.
